Project:Winterwarm

Winterwarm is a specialist in industrial and agricultural air heating. They are known for the reliable heating appliances they produce in Winterswijk. These devices are used all over the world in different industries.

Winterwarm was spread over 4 locations in Winterswijk, this was far from ideal. Therefore, in 2021 the construction of a new company building was started. Within a year the new sustainable building (12,000 m²) was realized. In August 2022 everyone could move to the new location.

The question

Klein Poelhuis Installatietechniek came to us with the request to install the entire gas piping system. This was a complex issue because of the total length of the pipes, the height differences in the building and the use of multiple technical gases.

The solution

We had to move the existing compressors to the new location and reinstall them. We had to install the corresponding compressed air line, these lines have a total length of 1600 meters. We also had to install a pipe for propane, the main pipe has a diameter of 54mm, with branches of 28mm. Other gases that are used are methane and nitrogen, of course we also installed piping for these.

For propane, methane and oxygen, we installed a gas distribution system. This system is connected to 2 gas cylinders. When one of the cylinders is empty, the system automatically switches to the second cylinder. Thus, there is a constant supply of the desired gas.
