Proper selection is critical to the operation of oil-water separators. Increased condensate flow through an oil-water
separator shortens the settling time in the main tank, increases oil transfer to the carbon stage and shortens the contact time with the
carbon. The overall effect of improper selection is poor discharge water
quality, shorter carbon filter life and risk of overflow.
